Academics
Bridges Academy offers a carefully planned program for students of all academic abilities and goals. An all-inclusive school is located on the campus, where fully-certified teachers work closely with each student to ensure their success. Bridges Academy provides an accredited curriculum that is individualized to fit each student's needs and can accommodate grades 7th through 12th with year-round classes. We offer curricula ranging from IEP accommodations to honors classes and specialize in credit recovery.
Large class sizes are regularly sited as the most crucial reason students fall through the cracks in junior high and high school classrooms across the country. Writing standards, individual accommodations and teachable moments are often discarded due to classroom management issues inherent to 30 or more students per teacher. At Bridges Academy, student-to-teacher ratios are among the nations lowest for fully-accredited schools. Our highly qualified teachers are able to customize dynamic learning environments that challenge and prepare each student individually. In this setting, it is sometimes possible for students to complete up to two years of school in only twelve months. Bridges Academy also believes in the educational importance of the group process and some classes (Biology, Music Appreciation, Outdoor Adventure and several reading classes) are pull-out by design. Many other courses are self-paced. Through our innovative efforts in curriculum development, we provide several exciting learning opportunities that can be used independently or in conjunction with one another.

Each student (and family) is involved with our teaching staff in designing grade and ability appropriate goals which successfully address learning styles and best meets the individual needs. With this approach, even the most resistant of teens take responsibility for their education.
