What sets Bridges Academy apart from other programs?
Bridges Academy provides a small, safe, single sex environment where teenage boys
can focus on their emotional, behavioral and/or academic issues without
distractions. We have a capacity for only 30 students, which allows us to
maintain an extremely supportive and intimate environment conducive to working with
each of our students and their families on an individual basis. Here are
some other things that make us unique:
- Management team with long tenure of behavioral health and academic experience.
- Challenging and rigorous academic curriculum.
- Rural and rustic setting on 35-acres.
- Parent and family workshops.
- Student to staff ratio of 3 to 1
- Positive peer environment.
- Close proximity to numerous national parks and recreational areas.
- Year-round school with open enrollment.
- Comparatively low monthly rate.

United and Alaska. The largest airport, Portland International Airport
(PDX) is approximately three hours away.
What are the advantages of being a single sex school, versus Co-ed?
At one time, Bridges Academy was a Co-ed school. However, our experience
has shown that students already have enough issues without introducing
the distractions and complications that come with a co-ed environment. Additionally,
it helps the students figure out who they really are inside. Although there are no students
of the opposite sex at Bridges Academy, we have a number of staff members of the opposite
sex who are in a position that demands respect and authority from students and are
directly involved with their daily care. This helps students develop respectful behaviors.
