Admissions & Tuition FAQs
What is the admissions process?

Prospectus be sent to you, and complete the Admissions Application. Once we've

Does my son have to complete a wilderness therapy program prior to
enrolling in Bridges Academy?
Bridges Academy does not require students to complete
an outdoor wilderness therapy program before enrolling. However, if the
applicant has a history of significant drug use, running away, or physical
aggressiveness, it may be a requirement as a condition of the student's
enrollment. We do however recommend that every student participate in
this form of intervention, as it helps the student with the "buy-in" to residential therapy.
Does Bridges Academy accept adjudicated youths?
While some of our students may be in minor legal trouble, usually for
petty crimes such as theft, possession, vandalism, etc., it is our
policy NOT to accept students that have a history of more significant
crimes and have been sentenced, as a diversion to attend a program
such as Bridges Academy.
Where do Bridges Academy's students come from?
While most of our students come from the West Coast, we have had students
from as far away as Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois,
Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, New Jersey,
North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Washington D.C.
The monthly tuition is $4,995.00, which includes the associated costs of
providing continuous care, counseling and instructional services. There
is also a $2,000 enrollment fee. (More)
Can the tuition be covered through my health insurance?
The entire Bridges Academy experience is considered to be therapeutic
in nature because there are many ways in which we provide insight and
assist a student to make progress. These methods include structured,
community living, a positive peer environment, individual and group
counseling, family therapy and workshops. This approach is impossible
to break apart into segregated areas of what can be deemed as
therapeutic, thus your health insurance, in most instances will not
cover the cost of tuition. Insurance benefits do vary and we advise
you to contact your individual carrier or agent for clarification.
What financial aid is available?
We realize the costs of specialized education are a significant financial
commitment and may be challenging for some families. Our knowledgeable
Admissions staff can assist you in exploring the options available to you.
